Guitar Teacher - Acoustic, Electric, Bass and Ukulele

Hi, I’m Bob Ralston. even though I’ve done other things professionally, music has always been my life’s great passion. I fell in love with the Beatles when I was about 3 years old and pestered my mother for a guitar until she relented when I was 9. I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. Besides teaching guitar, I am also an Examiner, composer, performer and session musician.

I am a professional musician and Qualified Music Tutor of Acoustic, Electric, Classical Guitar, Bass Guitar and Ukulele. My lessons are relaxed and tailored to meet your needs. Whether you want to learn a particular style, play your favourite songs, learn how to write songs or take Graded Exams (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool and RGT), I can help. Music Theory lessons are also available for all Grades, GCSE, A-Levels and beyond.

I have been teaching guitar for over 40 years and hold a BA in Creative Musicianship and a PGCE with QTS. I am also a Qualified Examiner for the London College of Music and a Duke of Edinburgh Approved Provider.

I am registered with the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT), the specialists in guitar education. I am a member of the Musicians Union and hold a full DBS certificate and Public Liability Insurance.

Lessons are provided in my home teaching studio that is set up to provide you with a high-quality lesson. Sorry, I do not travel to students’ homes.
