Scott can explain incredibly well, his lessons are great fun, varied, motivating and always illuminating.
We live in Germany and for 3 months we have been doing live online drumming lessons via Zoom, which is very easy.
My two children are making big progress with Scott. Very happy!

I could do some basic rock and pop stuff already , he’s helped me develop that and also have a go at jazz drumming, a totally new thing for me. Enjoying the lessons a lot. We have used Zoom and it’s been working no problem.

Scott is very friendly and patient – and keeps my son engaged even though he’s only 6 and would normally get quite distracted 😊. There is also the added bonus of magic tricks which are impressive too! Highly recommended.

July 1, 2020 at 2:32 pmScott is a superb drum teacher. My son started with him a few years ago as a complete beginner and Scott has taught him brilliantly. Scott pitches the lessons just right, to make them challenging but still fun too. He often sends out extra material to inspire his students, songs to listen to and drum along to and clips to watch too. He is patient and teaches in a clear and fun way! I cannot recommend him highly enough! Recently he has adapted to teaching via zoom and FaceTime which has worked really well!

We have had to adapt to video sessions during the lockdown, but this has worked really well. We can’t recommend Scott highly enough, he is brilliant!

Would thoroughly recommend, he’s incredibly patient and planned out with his lessons. Looking forward to this next lesson.

The lessons, guidance and advice are always spot on and the balance between theory, rudiments and playing songs is just right, ensuring progress is measured and robust. Scott prepared him meticulously and my son was particularly pleased to do really well in the improvisation task, which was fairly new to him. Scott is always very pleasant to have a lesson with, and he seems to be really clear in his explanations. I’d strongly recommend him as a teacher for people of any age, including adults.

He will take the time to understand your goals as a drummer and cater instruction so you can meet them, with thorough follow-up after each lesson. He will not just teach what you request, but include his own ideas to help you grow as a drummer, no matter your experience level. He is also always happy to answer any questions you have about his experience as a professional drummer. I cannot recommend Scott more highly as drum instructor.

Henry has made brilliant progress with Scott. He provides lots of extra support and inspiration via his own and suggested videos. Very happy to recommend him

May 17, 2025 at 3:59 pmScott has a teaching superpower. Aside from his very evident skills as a professional drummer, he has a more hidden teaching talent.
Having picked up a set of drum sticks as a retirement project 12 months ago, it is a testament to Scott that I can now sit at my kit and enjoy practicing rudiments and drumming to a variety of music. I can hardly believe the progress I’ve made.
Lessons are nicely structured and fun, Scott deals well with my never ending questions!
His skill lies in his great patience, his understanding of his students’ needs and ability to transfer just the right amount of his deep understanding of music theory, musical styles, rhythm and drumming techniques to his students. He utilises a good variety of teaching techniques during lessons and provides follow up notes which provide clear guidance, encouragement and inspiration. (An example of a really nice technique is his piano accompaniment to the drums.)
I would unhesitatingly recommend Scott as a drum teacher 😊
