I started teaching professionally in 2005 and have had the privilege of seeing many former students go on to further musical study and success. I started playing guitar in 1971 and still perform live music in several bands, mostly on bass, playing everything from pubs to festivals and also recording original songs. I have played both lead and bass guitar in various bands, covering just about every style of music. At the moment I play in a jazz group, 2 mostly 1960’s/70’s covers bands and a Southern Rock group.

I have a professional Zoom/Skype setup using a HD webcam and a high quality condenser mic. You will be given access to my online library of over 1000 tabs, most of which I have edited and improved.

I prefer to teach technical skills and some basic musical theory (from the Rockschool syllabus) as well as songs. However, if you just want to learn to play your favourite songs I am happy to do that. I recommend Rockschool study for those who are serious about progressing their musical knowledge.

I will teach you correct techniques and help you reach an advanced level of musical knowledge and skill… whilst not forgetting to have fun along the way!

Teaching is at your own pace and there is no pressure - we will take it one step at a time.

I tailor lessons to your individual requirements and will go at a pace that you are happy with.

Please note that I teach Bass Ukelele but not regular ukelele at the moment.
