Becca is a professional Saxophonist based in East Sussex, UK. She plays Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones, as well as Clarinet. Becca has experience in a wide variety of bands of different musical genres and has played at a variety of venues and events in the UK and internationally in New Orleans and Europe.
Becca usually plays in several bands, also plays sax and DJ gigs, as well as solo sax and backing track gigs (pre-lockdown and post-lockdown!)
Becca has an MA in Popular Music, specialising in Performance (Merit) as well as a BA in Popular Music Performance (1st Class Hons), Grade 8 Saxophone (Distinction), Grade 8 Clarinet, Grade 8 Popular Music Theory (Merit), Grade 5 Music Theory, Grade 6 Jazz Flute (Distinction), Grade 5 Flute (Distinction) and Grade 5 Piano (Distinction).
Becca is DBS checked and teaches in schools and privately in East Sussex and West Kent. Becca teaches at Judd School in Tonbridge and Tonbridge Grammar School in Tonbridge. In the past Becca has also taught at Trinity School in Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells Music School in Frant, St Gregory's Catholic School in Tunbridge Wells and Hillview School for Girls' in Tonbridge.
Lessons are tailored to the individual. Some pupils choose to learn purely for pleasure, others choose to learn for pleasure and to work towards grades. A range of musical styles are covered in lessons, as well as the options to learn to improvise and cover music theory in depth. Becca teaches children-adult and beginner-advanced levels. 99% exam pass rate, with most students achieving a Merit / Distinction. Competitive lesson rates.
